I have a headroom problem in the back of my '69 Westy. I've recently put in a well known 'self-fit' interior with a new metal framed 3/4 R&R bed (not Bluebird as they're been out of stock for most of my life!) and new 4" foams on the original 1" lightweight Westy ply bases. The problem is, if you are taller than 4ft 10" your head hits the roof when you sit in the seat! Floor to top of seat height is 20". This is not helped with my Westy being a sun roof model where you lose around 2 1/2" with the double skin roof panel. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do? Is thinking about taking a section of the inner roof skin away madness? Any suggestions welcomed. :?
