Useful stating points are to get a 'birth certificate' from VW in Wolfsburg, and to ask the DVLA for an owners/keepers history. Do a search on here for links to both (or some kind soul will post a link).

And congrats on your purchase...you won't regret it in the long term, but at times you will wonder why on earth you bought. A bit like having kids I guess.
