How do I feed a new cluch cable through?

Hi all
All was going well.... removed broken cluch cable, feed new one about three quarters of the way through from front end to back... then it won't go no further!! Could it be a blockage? I've tried some force on it by refeeding through the old cluch cable to try and get past the blockage, but no joy! If anyone has any advice on how I can get the remainder of the cluch cable through so I can reattach it to the cluch, I would be very grateful.

Did you remove the Bowden tube?
