I'm in the process of preping my 71 Danbury for a respray, going with the standard two tone white top, green bottom does anyone have any idea how much of each I will need ? I'm thinking along the lines of 2 pack ?

Hi

I can't help you with the quasntities (I'm sure someone else will) but remember that most (if not all) early bays only have the roof white and NOT white to the 'waistband'. That was those upstart 'late bays'..
Cheers

James

Hi surf

I just checked some info on http://www.thesamba.com and I may be wrong  .

Colour to the roof is up to 1970 only it seems. Take a look here :-

How much paint you need will depend on how many coats you want to put on. More coats obviosuly means more paint.

A couple of litres of each should get you a good 3 coats I'd say, if you're going half and half.

Cheers Jabbo, 3 coats should be enough.
James, you are correct it was Sierra Yellow code 040652, that makes it white over yellow with a alabaster (grey) interior.
