Hi all, started drilling the spot welds from my seat runners - I have a mint set of T25 seats with runners that will be going in their place.

It seems that even after drilling a fair chunk of the spot welds the rails dont even look close to budging - a bit of persuasion from a pry bar and they're not close.

Am I drilling the holes too small? I'm using a 6mm bit, maybe I'm not taking enough off?

I need to get them off so I can fit the replacements, having no seats in the front is doing my crust in! I was tempted with a set of early bay seats but budget dictates that I need to use what I have.

Pic below if it helps...

Sorted -

8mm spot weld drill + angle grinder to free the little seam welds on the front and they came off relatively easily and cleanly, slightly out of shape from having to crack a couple of the welds off with a pry bar but can pop them to one side just incase I ever find some cheap original seats!

Alternatively I'll pop them on ebay and see if anyone needs them!
