Hello everyone, not been here for a while (Last visit was: Tue Sep 13, at10:44 am according to the page) and was surprised to find my login working and that I could remember my password!

I used to have a couple bays, a 72 and 74 but sold them to buy a T4 as couldn't justify having the old vans for fun but needed some form of reliable everyday transport that was also a day van. Turns out a T4 is not that reliable for every day use either so it's gone. I've ended up with a car but really miss a van. Now I have been offered the 72 van back and not sure weather to buy that or go for a t5. I can now justify having an old van for fun and seen as I know the van well and may be able to get it pretty cheap I'm leaning towards it.

It needs a few jobs but nothing I'm not capable of, one of the jobs is new windows in the back as they are a bit ropey. It's a converted panel van so they are the less pretty rubber mounted ones. Welding in microbus parts is out of the question for now but I can't find any where that sells the conversion windows. No issues with the seals but nowhere for the glass. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Buy old....
I went bay.... t4.... T25....mk1 golf...... Bay!
I'm now running about in a £475 seat Leon hack to work and back and everything else goes into the bay!! Never been happier 8)

I can`t see glass being an issue as in any glazier or screen / glass fitter should be able to sort that for you. The big prob with panel conversions is there are so many styles and types of glass and shapes for that matter. I did the unthinkable and put in the `pretty` ones just because they looked so much better and I had a donor. Panels are quite funky in their own right, have you thought about returning it to a panel ?? Nice and private and no curtain issues, just a thought, you could even fit some foamex with panel adhesive and have raised and sign written boards on the side,, older style with some groovy old garage writing on 8) 8) 8)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Panels ???? Nice !!
