I NEED THE LOO !

We now have two kids.. A 4.5 yr old n a 14 wk old.
Thoz of u with children will know how important it is 2 b near a loo
do many of u have a porta loo in yr van
any advice ?

I always take a loo when camping - 3 kids (3,7,8) so I use one of these:

Just a glorified bucket - but much easier to clean e.t.c. - we fill ours with cat litter (the wood pellet type) inside a plastic bag as it also then doesn't need chemicals e.t.c.

Our Portaloo goes in the bit between the van and the awning proper. Only to be used at night mind you!

i have a demitec poorta loo matched with a quick erect kyam toilet tent.

tent goes up in less than 2 mins and is great theres a small pocket inside for the loo roll and i stick a battery light in there aswell,i dont mind the hedge but the wife likes it for the night and first thing in the morning.would never go back

its ace at shows if you have a budgies bladder

camp sites, shops, supermarkets, petrol stations, public toilets, pubs, cafes, Mcdonalds etc for number 2's. Anywhere / Everywhere for number 1's ........ not just the kids either :msn4:

Wouldn't be without it now. Stays in the bus at night and we move it out to the awning during the day

We had the same dilemma earlier this year with our 3 year old ...we didn't like the idea of a porta loo but bit the bullet. I have to say it was so simple to set up, use and empty. we didn't put it in the van but we have a lean to awning and popped it in the little area between the bus and the awning that is covered over. Got it from argos and t came with all the chemicals ready to use.

Fantastic, laughed my bits off! Especially the lower right hand corner where it says 'stool'. I presume this is recomending an alternative use as opposed to suggesting it will only accomodate the one!

We do what dubscum does and seeing as it's just me and the boy, have a 'wee bottle' for overnight use. Means we don't make loads of noise getting out of the bus in the night. Handy for me now I'm getting on a bit and have a bladder the size of an egg cup...... :roll:
