How long is this paint likely to last in the tin ?

Did you get the mix code? I recently had some Sea Blue blown in on my Beetle and because of age of paint they had to tweak the mix... the guy at the paint shop was careful to point out the special mix code on the tin to me, gave me the tin to keep for future touch ups and made sure I understood that it could be matched from that code.
I would not have known had he not pointed it out
