My inner windscreen surround (and outer) need repairing. I have removed the dash hoping to replace from the inside but have discovered that the centre inner section is non-existant all along and about 2 inches downwards. I have the two outer inner repair panels but will be missing about 3 foot inbetween.

Is the only solution the whole inner repair panel (£80!) If so I am assuming that the front bulge will need to be removed to get in on? Is it spot welded to the air box?

Cheers

It is definatly spot welded to the airbox panel, might be easier to cut out the upper rotten section and weld in a repair plate fabricated from a cardboard template. Good luck.

I have a similar problem, and as its not going to be on show you could save some money by fabbing it from sheet. the tricky part is the dash fixings.
