Insurance - again

Hi All

I have a 68 Westy - lowered and with a 1776. Late bay servo'd brakes. Porsche Alloys. Its not on the road right now but I do want to get it back on this year.
Agreed value of £18k I guess from what I have seen on the adverts...

Who is best with the mildish mods AND I would like to get my kids on the insurance 19 1yr NCB and 21 2yr NCB - ok with elevated excess for them but love to get the bus on the road and the kids to enjoy and perhaps we can create some younger members?

Current insurer ERS no can do on the kiddo's

Unfortunately I think you'll struggle to get insurance cover for under 25s.

boo - cannot see why - I bet I could get cover on a T6 that goes twice as fast...I do detest insurance companies

I can recommend NOT using Adrian Flux and Classic Line! Both agreed value at £20k over the phone, when paperwork came through they had dropped it to £17.5k with no explanation! When I called them both, response was "sorry we can't do anything about it now".
Cancelled with both of them and went with Hagerty. Was a bit dearer but they seemed to know what they were talking about and agreed the value no problem. Have just insured my '63 Nothback with them as well, really pleased with them.

The mods on mine are so slight, lowered1 spline as far as I know. It has an adjustable front beam which is not very low.
Standard wheels 14" Steels. Biggest mod is a different engine size wise, it's now a 2017 upright. Used to be a stock 1600 upright.
Valued at £34k however only I drive the vehicle. Kept in a locked garage.

Again, unfortunately not. I've tried to get my daughter cover on my T6.1, but she's 24.

JustKampers insurance for the last four years. Seem ok and not bad value.

Hello mate,
ref insurance, I use heritage insurance brokers -: 0121 246 9095, for my classics, a 72 bay and a 61 Doka. They will do agreed value and only ask for supporting photographs. I think they are very reasonable price wise, each vw being less than £200 to insure ( can’t remember each) and with agreed valuations of £50k and £20k respectively.
You can also include all your other vehicles on a multi car policy as well.
The only thing I can’t tell you is if they will include under 25’s but I think it’s not uncommon for classic car insurance to have this age clause.

I use Hagerty's also. Just renewed with them. Gone up a bit though this year. Original policy agreed value was supported with 5 photos and a snap of the odometer.

Can’t remember it’s registration date tbh, haven’t dipped into the Late bay, maybe I should, this is my Doka, was my work van and daily driver

Thanks for the replies peeps will have a ring round, desperately saddened that my kids can’t get insured…it’s not as fast as a modern car and I guess it is more value wise. I’d even happily have a black box…

Odd, I would recommend classicline. I've got a multiyear policy covering a 1970 TR6 (agreed £18k - more than previous insurer) and my 1970 Dormi, only mods being slightly lowered. That was agreed @£25k but I do have extensive documentation showing full resto.
I've also moved mine and my partners daily drivers over onto a separate multiyear with them.

Did re look and no one seems to cover under 25, there was someone who said they would if the youngsters had cars and their own insurance but ran out of time….
