It does seem like a nice bus and has had some of the usual mods done, so I don't think it is too far off the money........ but that puts the value of my bus into question.

We also have to remember that T2D like other traders have overheads that a private sale doesn't have to take into consideration and I am sure they would help with any niggles that will occur. Customer service makes a difference but does add to the price.

They dont have many vans that hang around very long, and have a few lined up in LA right now by the looks .... I guess that indicates its worth it. :)

Anyway, a low white westy - whats not to love?

No its not just you. The prices seem incredible to me too. :?

To be honest I am puzzled by the whole VW camper thing. I have been into classics all my life and when I had Jags, Alvises and Healys etc. back in the 70's I knew they would one day be worth a lot of money. If somebody had suggested back then that my Camper would be worth more money than the Triumph Stag it was parked next to I would have laughed.

The gain in value is all very nice and I am glad so many people are into them but there is a downside for me as a long term owner though. Its become "precious" and I have to admit that it has become less fun and carefree to own and use as a result. To get back the feeling of being able to just park it anywhere and simply enjoy it I guess I would have to sell the bay and go for a wedge, though I wonder how much longer they will remain cheap.

I agree....But I drive wrecks ,so if it got nicked and someone can atually start it and select first then second ,then good luck to them..

It has been said these vehicles are so precious that some people keep them locked away in winter... I don`t believe it myself , who would`nt want to drive the bus all year...

yup, they have gone and got to popular, every tv program and advert has a bay in it and everyone wants one, even chavs like em.i cant see an end to it either.its the must have accesory nowadays.ive been thinking of selling mine resentley but worry i wont be able to get back on the ladder in the future due to rising prices.

The price of bays is crazy nowadays imho. Regarding the one the t2d's have for sale i'd say thats the going price now  I know someone who sold a early bay recently (fully resto'd / resprayed) for just under that price
I bought my bays years ago for very little and wouldn't be able to afford one at todays prices.

to put things in prospective people buy these

EB, lowered, radars......the T2D one looks like a bargain!.............if you have that kind of money and not DIYing

i though my last bus i sold was right on the money, but im seeing tin tops without the big engine going for close to that now

its supply and demand i guess, but there are also a lot of quality buses unsold at the mo, most are modified ones tho, and as stated a good restored EB against a brazillian danbury is cheap

no its all about the marketing!!!! same old story..got a product worth 100 but cant sell it.Billy bl;oggs has one at 200 and sold it immeadiately...its all about market presence and i don`t know anyone who competes with t2d at the moment...that said they`ve put a huge amount of effort in so good luck to em ;) oh and don`t forget that that price includes vat something you don`t get from johnny come lately buy my bus but if it goes wrong then feck off......you could always buy one of our spec built busses for £28k :!:  + vat
