I'm happy to say, that after six years of ups, downs and sideways, more scars than I can point out, numerous hospital visits and at least six electric shocks from welding in the rain, Ratty the Scamper Van, the Rainbow Killer, Bringer of Smoke is now a fully road-legal, working machine. Can't remember the last time I was this happy. Special thanks to many, many people, but specifically I've gotta name Ozziedog- without him I'd still have half a chassis and wouldn't know how to dunk (a pair of) chocolate digestives properly.

Three advisories- slight play in both rear wheel bearings, slight play in steering box. Couldn't adjust out the tiny flat on the steering peg. Last saw tarmac in 1992.

Good effort :) Must be exciting to be able to use it at last

Few celebratory beers tonight then?

Congratulations - the feeling of a hard earned MOT pass is one of the sweetest of all.

Your resto/repair/rebuild/graft has been well worth it.

Also, how do you dunk a pair of chocolate digestives? Face to face?

Just replied to this on VZi, but again:

Amazing amount of work and effort, well done bud.

Although I think people need to be reminded of what you started with:

Thanks man- that was a silly day, with hindsight. Should have just got a job and bought one! Never mind- happy days.

Thanks! yeah, chocolate to chocolate- keeps the fingers clean, and keeps the chocolate present. Also you get to eat two biscuits. Genius.
