We simply don't get the weather and if we do I'm just doing over the work I did last time,so being in a resonable state money wise I'm wondering what would I need to expect to pay if I take the bus to a restorer?

how longs a piece of string fella, gonna need some idea what needs doing, what youd like doing, what youd love to do but if the truth would be known is a dream and of course where in the world are you......

I got a few quotes for lower rear corners, outer sills, lower wheel arches, front wheel arch small repairs, lower front panel small repairs and paint outside all over (with me providing all repair panels) they ranged between £4500 and £8000 all quoted as minimums with "extra" for "unforseen extras". Hourly rate seems to be £30 to £40ish

Hence I borrowed my old man's Mig and have taught myself to cut, weld and grind! - has taken 12 months so far working outside at weekends but Im getting there now. I will still get someone to paint it though (Im looking at about £3K for that for an OK job)

Hope this helps

Cheers

FS

Thanks Guys, she's now booked in with a guy in Newtownards.not too far from Belfast and has a very good reputation.Price is kinda going to be evolving as he discovers what needs done.I've most parts bought so it will be mostly down to labour.

I did the same thing. I got over half way through but just didn't have the time or mojo to finish it. I shipped it off to the painter & it came back spanking.

I had a good van to start with so wasn't silly money either.

I am glad I did it otherwise it would still be in bits in my garage now. It has sped up the resto no end.

Alright bud, there's a guy in Derry/londenderry called owen shields, he does a fast tidy job and as he didn't do it full time he's well worth the money!!or there's dave in Armagh also very high standard of work!! If ya need anything parts wise I'm getting rid/ scrapping a crossover at the end of the week!!

the only two people id trust over here are Owen Shields, who does a top job as mentioned and John Massey in Newtonards, who i assume you are with.

...Dont go near anyone else....
