It's always been a pain on the JK forum, you can't mention any other traders without their very own Big Brother giving you a bash.....

Got too big for it's own boots,I stopped using it ages ago. Don't think I'll be bothering to re-register....

EB forum is soooooooo much better!

i left JK a long time ago, the cover they sell is pants.
im not the only one to have probs with it either

im sticking here

I was banned by the JK moderators for having an open conversation with the guy from Bluebird Customs about external screen covers, which JK don't do, a replacement canvas for my original Westy cab bunk. Basically the guy offered me a canvas for £20 because JK only set bunk kits and they wouldn't break up the kit. If you don't want public criticism, don't run a public forum. I blankly refuse to go on JK as it is like living in 1984.

I have not used JK for around a year since I had cover problems. I still bear a grudge for the attutide of some posters who rallied in support of JK knowing nothing of me or my van.

The cover is pants - good only for careful use inside a garage I'd say?!!

Let's all sign up and post threads slamming their products - could be fun!

(Just joking, can't be arsed!)

;)

I recieved a letter from JK with my trophy i won at 'At The Beach'. The letter told me to call this guy at JK and he would sort out a £20 gift voucher as part of my prize.
I called, no answer. So i left a messege, no reply. I called again and left another message, no reply.... all this before Vanfest and still no reply..
I have called the normal number and have spoken to sales people about my problem and they can't help! So, i suppose thats that.
Still i spose thats me on the list of people who will never use JK again :?

I also dont use them anymore , I had a problem with one of there products that was never sorted , when I posted a complaint they really slagged me down. It was funny really because they got me mixed up with some else who was having a problem with a totally different product.
Yeh I was also p .off with the attitude with other posters who seem to think that they can do no wrong.

How is that roof rack for your T25?

Joy! - was just getting p*ssed off because a suppliers name had been '******' out by JK, concerning a product I was interested in knowing about - looking at another thread on here tells me it was 'Bluebird' - looking at their stainless 'standard' exhaust....
Used JK many times a decade ago (with no issues) - I guess there is much more choice now, but there are a few things that keep popping up over there....so - million dollar question (before I start buying up bits to get my van back on the road) - who do people use for 'standard' bits - Heritage? Others...?

[ok - so the clue 'the bird that is blue' should have pointed me in the right direction, I admit it......

As a forum - JK appears to have 'turned' to the dark side - all lovey-dovey if your in the 'circle'.
As for products - only one I have had issues with is the Van cover - definatley pants and wouldn't recommend to anyone - steer cleer of it

Right - that's my two penith worth

All my standard bits come from GSF. Don't bother with the JK exhaust, the header cracks around the welds. The Bluebird one is made by the same people that used to make stuff for Autocavan.

I think JK are just loseing sight of it's core customers. I have noticed they are moving into selling general camping gear, not VW specific. Constantly expanding and prob have not got time for Mr small like they used to. :?
I remember in the past calling JK for advice to source second hand parts and general advice on my van. They were a great help and i would always go back to order my parts from them.... things change :?

unfortunately they seem to have fallen into the 'big firm, small customer' trap.

I used to use them all the time and then they took over 10 days to deliver an item that I need the next day....they kept sending it to my old address that I had moved from a year previuosly.....

countless calls to them and emails,.....they just basically shrugged their shoulders, didn't even offer to refund the (£5) postage for my troubles.

not used them since.....

I get all my 'general' stuff from Cool Air, Mega Bug or Custom and Commercial, all great with their customer service. They all have the 'big firm, big customer' attitude.
