I have been given a old kenlowe fan and I am thinking about fitting it some where in the engine bay but seeing as I dont have a radiator I was wondering if anyone has used an additional fan if so where have you mounted yours?

What are you hoping its going to do for your engine?

well i was thinking i could mount it near the pistons under the tin wear to turn on while in traffic or above the tin wear to improve air flow around the carbs. im not expecting much from it really i just got it for free so just trying to figure out if i could use it on my bus

If your engine is in ok condition(tinware fitted correctly, correct air filter all plumbed in, no debris in the fan shroud/trapped in the barrel fins etc etc) & properly tuned, then there should be no need to provide any additional cooling.
I would leave it as is & give the fan to someone with a waterpumper ;)

I am currently expecting a new 1679 engine from laurie pettitt so it is all going to be in good nic, all the rubbers round the tin wear hav been replaced and the tinwear compleatly degreaced and is in ok condition. So your right it should be fine. Cheers loxy
