I'm after a side window for my 68 Devon as the kids looked as if they were about to melt when we went out on sunday. What does anyone recommend and how easy are they to fit, if all else fails i'll just get a 12v fan.

I've got opening rear 1/4lights in my bus. As mine is a microbus having the opening side windows is very useful.

I bought a rust free LHS 1/4light for £25, RHS sometimes are a bit pricier. And you'll need the 3/4 glass to go with them.

You can see them here:

and how they look inside...

:)

Other alternatives are the Westy type louvre window. I'm not a fan of how they look though, but that's personal taste (or lack of ;) )

i bought a pair of sliding window for the two central windows on the bus (believe they are from new brazilian buses)
vw heritage knock them out for about 140 notes a pair

i have 2 Devon windows to go in both sides, they have 2 sections that can be open individually.

I have a westy window with fly screen available cheaply if you decide on that?

og devon windows are easy to find, youll get them on fleabay all the time.

Alternativly you could get your windows tinted, mine are very tinted and its noticably cooler in there when coming back to it when the doors have been shut and the sun on it compaired to a normal car..

Westy windows let in loads of air and cool the whole van, however don't thnk they would look right on a non westy van.
