Did you ever find out what the source of the knock was? I have something similar on my bus but it is louder when cold / first started.
Knock or not????

To TheHewsonFamily,
Pulled the engine and did a load more than expected on the engine.
Did not however do a top end build or split the case.
There is the slightest knock when the oil has warmed up.
Went to the Earlybay Campout this year and was lucky enough to get some expert
information on the noise. Suffice to say it does not warrant pulling apart.
If you need to know who helped me out , PM me as I don't know if he is ok with mentioning his name publicly.
Return trip for us is approx. 280 miles. Smooth sailing .
