on the left side i have a knocking or maybe more of a bang when i hit a bump in the road and feels like the wheels move a bit when this happens i replaced the shock yesterday but stiil the same, when i jack the van up of the floor and pick the wheel up in my hands i can here that knock,im hoping its the bottom ball joint and hope that its nothing in the beam, the other side is fine when i do the same thing
anybody have any thoughts on this
cheers

Jack it up again and get someone to rock the wheel for you whilst you look for the worn part.

Could be wheel bearing adjustment, or ball joint, if you have the old type ball joints there should be a small plastic cap in the top you can take this out and screw a grease nipple in and pump some fresh grease in to the joint, might help for a bit.

I had a knock for month and it drove me mental...it ended up being the top of the shocks weren't tight enough! tightened them up and the noise went away...

turned out to be a ball joint guys so decided to do all 4 and buy the red9 coilover set up 4-5.5 drop no more tortion but when driving there is no travel on the shocks there just rock solid when im jumping up and down on it all thats moving is the tyre,i done 30miles in it today and my back is killing me i dont get it i thought it was supposed to be a nice ride its dropped at mo to about 5inch im a bit gutted at mo any thoughts boys,im surprised my van is still in one piece its been shaken to hell and back me to or is there something ive done or not i'll get a pic up so you can see how she sitting

Personally I think that sort of drop puts too much strain on the ball joints, other people tend to take off the extra low red9 kit and put the higher one on (2-4").Did you cut down the bump stops when you lowered it,or remove them?

bump stops were all ready gone but i no what your saying really is putting strain on everything its shacking my van to bits im a bit gutted that its not what i expected i think the only way to go is that new beam set up as my steering box is knackerd to, but dont no if simon at red9 will let me send these back in exchange for that new set up what you reckon i mean when i way it all up the shocks were 350 steering box is going to be 250 im half way there all ready will give it ago in morning other than that i will be selling them on here
