My 71 Aussi bus has fixed laminated glass in the side windows with no markings (that I can see), I've replaced the two middles with new slider types which came with solid glass, much stronger and a metal frame, and I'm wondering what to do about the rears. I find the laminated glass really fragile, hand pressure near an edge when re assembling was enough to cause a crack, presume 'cos glass gets more brittle with age and the two glass sheets are really thin. I'm thinking of using black silicone to refix, something like

or maybe aquarium silicone which might be better at staying waterproof.
Any thoughts?
