Does anyone know whether laurie pettit is still building engines? Would love to speak to him

No I don't think so
Having already searched this
I believe he has retired now.
From what I've read the guy is a legend
We are now left with the likes of Volkshites off shelf etc :(

Bugger. Got one of his 1835 stroker engines. Want a rebuild but don't know who to go to As it's got a waterboxer crank if that makes any difference

Ben I would give rawspeed at Plymouth a call, if he can't or won't he will know somebody that can.

Depending on where you are based, I would highly recommend Mark Prosser at autotechnicks t2 performance. He is based near Epsom. Knows his stuff and also does custom builds. I've seen some fairly meaty 2+ litre engines in his workshop that have been built by him.

I have rebuilt an engine from Laurie with his WBX crank conversion. If you need any help or info on what parts to use, flywheel seal, bearings etc, send me a PM and i can help you. ;)
