Been offered a big battery for use in the camper, its a 170Ah 12v that is about...

8 inches wide
8 inches high
20 inches long

mine for £35, any good as a leisure battery :?:

Sounds pretty good, you must remember that a leisure battery is designed to be slowly discharged over a long period of time and can handle being fully discharged without damaging the cells. Where as a car battery is designed to be discharged over a short period of time and cell damage can result if you fully discharge it.

TBH a battery of that size is gonna be deep discharge. I hope you not running a dynamo.:D
 
I am, I was thinking about this last night and might get the battery, then when we install the LB set up upgrade the dynamo to alternator as well, the dynamo seems to struggle at the best of times, don't want to burn it out :?
