Hi dont want to hijack the thread but do you keep the leisure battery neg separate from the running battery neg ie not connecting it to the body??

the site seems to be down for extremevan.co.uk anyone else havin probs , want one of those kits :p

I HAVE A SPLIT CHARGE RELAY IN MINE,WHEN VEHICLE BAT IS CHARGED SWITCHES OVER TO THE LIESURE BAT THEN,SO IN WINTER I JUST PUT VEHICLE BAT ON TRICKLE CHARGE AND IT SWITCHES THE RELAY AND CHARGES THE LIESURE BATTERY.WHISLT ON SITE I HAVE A LEAD ALREADY FED INTO ENGINE BAY WHICH EFFECTIVELY IS A TRAILING LEAD AND JUST PLUG A CHARGER IN AND CONNECT UP THE LIESURE BATTERY,SIMPLE ENOUGH AND WORKS,BESIDES I STARTED RUNNING OUT OF ROOM AFTER FITTING RCD UNDER BUDDY SEAT AND THEN A DIESEL EBERSPACHER UNDER THE BED.

REGARDS.

I need to install a leisure battery for a trip next wekend as we can't get a pitch with hook up, so whilst rooting around this most excellent forum I found this thread so thought I would continue instead of starting a new one.

As I dont think I will have time to fully install a system and for a quick set up to charge phones and the like, would I be right in saying if I bought a leisure battery, solar trickle charger and an inverter I would be alright for a few days?

Can anyone list what is needed for an install please? I want a quick set up now but would like to utilise the parts at a later date for a full set up.

Apologies if I'm missing something here but electrickery is like quantum physics to me. :? :?
