Hi all,

I have bought a leisure battery which I'm
Going to try to install this weekend.

I am assuming the correct location is on the left hand side of the engine bay. Where can I get some sort of a clamp to fix the battery in place ?

Do people usually put them there or is it easier to put it under one of the seats ?
Cheers

Most are installed to the left of the engine bay - mine is!
There are various methods of installation however mine uses a metal clip on a bolt to secure.

Which battery did you go for? I managed to squeeze a 115ah Halfords one in the gap!

And you can see how its secured here in this pic

That's the most common place for them due to keeping them ventilated . Think a 110ah one is about the biggest you can fit in there without bashing the life out of the the bodywork . As for clamps halfords do a universal one about 6/7 ish quid . But you do need to drill 2 small holes in the battery tray . Or there's loads on evil bay .
just make sure the + side of the battery is well insulated as you don't want it touching the body and shorting

My 115ah one didnt require any bodywork modification or bashing to get into position!
Just a strong back to lift it in!

Must be a similar size then or a different shape as I've always struggled getting a 110 one to fit without bashing lol
although the huge gel filled one under the seat is more than enough to power anything forever lol just weighs about 70kg so it a #### to move .
