low maintenance carb for 1641 SP?

so, i was wondering ..... i have a 1641 sp engine, standard solex carb ...... had a couple of issues with crap in it, idle jets etc.

is there a consensus on what the best low maintenance, high reliability carb is? something i wouldn't have to worry about unduly. i don't do that many miles, maybe 1500 - 2000 per year.

or is it all about set up?

I run a standard carb on my 1641 TP although the one it had on it was a Brazilian one I've put an original German one back on it and never had a problem

it's all about original or if you want low maintenance fit an injection system.
