Just crapped myself refilling the works van broken the £1 barrier.....

but surely if the barrier only cost a pound you can afford to replace it?
hell i'll send you a pound if it will help

In Practical Classics mag Nov '07 page 92
Lpg for type 2 supply & fit by Gasure UK (01244 389344)
£1024 inc vat
There is a picture of the fuel tank that looks like a giant donut where the spare wheel would normally sit.

The red and cream DC splitty in Issue 5 of Camper and Bus has had LPG fitted, and the tank went under the rear bench seat.

Apparently you can switch from fuel to gas on the move....

seems like quite a popular conversion though....

Yeah the petrol vans at work have it as a way of getting round the congestion charge....

I was thinking of having a custom made pair of tanks for gas and petrol so they could both be mounted behind the firewall......

there was a 60% plus grant on this conversion from the govt. just google for it. I know quite a few Jeep Grande Cherokees with it done. Does about 85% the distance on one gallon of gas as it would on petrol but at 45ish pence a litre, do the math

never seen an aircooled conversion. but ive noticed alot of those honda hybrids on the road here and more garages doing gas.

i would be keen to convert my van, but not sure where to put the tank. i cant have one in the spare wheel well.

and what would happen with dual carbs?

web site needs some work but the reviews seem favourable......

possibly worth talking with them.

Doesnt look like any probs with the dual carb set up.

thats a handy site they also do westy style gas cylinders for camping which i was looking for... thanks :D

Been thinking about this for along time , spoke to guy at Gassure because Ive got a dodgy Brazillian Carb and he said that it wouldnt be a problem , but I decided to have the converion after I fitted a pair of Webers in the early new year. I think {hope}that it will be viable for me as mines daily driver , every day of the year , now I think about it . :)
