Anyone made thier own roof rack? I have been looking at prices and as we all know they are expensive. I wouldn't mind a stab at making my own. Anyone done it? Anyone have pics?

Would this be any good as a starting point - I think it comes off an old Land Rover, I just listed it on Ebay for £10, but if you
genuinely think you could convert it you could have it....It hasn't rusted (galvanised ?) - so maybe tricky to weld....
