Hi,

As of today I now have three middle seats, and all three are different.

They are all three-seater types (two LHD, one RHD), but they all have different style covers/handles.

The black one I got today (LHD) is almost definitely earlybay as it's covering is the same style as a black rear-bench seat I already had (the ladder type pattern).

The second seat (RHD) is a light grey one from our previous bus (a 71) has very similar, but not quite the same, style covering - and the handle for the flipper seat is different. It's more triangular and pointy than the round one on the black seat.

The third seat (LHD) is a browny/beige/grey colour and has almost a completely plain covering - just dimpled, no horizontal ladders.

I suspect the second seat is from a late bay, and the third seat might be from a split? Any ideas?

I can post pics up tomorrow if anybody is interested in either of the other two seats?

Cheers,

Mike

Didn't even occur to me that kombi's would have different style coverings

just gone through "original vw bus" and page 99 shows the kombi interior to be just as above.... plain colour, piping round the edge and perferations with no embossed detail....

Sorry to sound thick but when you say middle seat do you mean in the cab so you have 3 seats in the front?

No, sorry dude. These are the bench seats that are behind the cab area, but in front of the rear bench - so in the "middle". A crap description on my part - but couldn't think of anything else!

So... Anybody want to buy a 3 seater middle-bench seat - with the flipper seat at one end (one rhd, one lhd) £30 each?

I've also got a grey rear bench seat for sale too - £30 also :)
