OK so we are organising our third open day in our third set of premises!!, the plan is the same as the last 2 years with the open day running from 10-3 approx then heading over in Convoy (hopefully with out the wrong turn this year) to Stanford Hall for the show on Sunday 1st May.

The Friday this year is also Bank holiday (Royal Wedding) so if people wanted to make a weekend of it we could find somewhere local for you to camp on the Friday so for those that want to travel from further afield you can. Don't forget the Monday is also a Bank Holiday so plenty of time to get back home  .

Like to get as many bays as we can for an unofficial line up and those that came last year know that there is plenty of space, we are still on the same complex but we have moved into unit 2 rather than Unit 3 where we were last year.

Happy to organise some tuition and demos by Dave (67 Panel) on here so if theres anything specific you want to learn let us know, we'll provide snacks and drinks for lunch.

New for this year is radio controlled slalom racing, including a scale model of 'Monty' the shop bus. Prizes for the winning adults and children.

So I'm sure I'll see a lot of you before then but it would be great to gauge interest so if you'd like to come along feel free to drop your name down,

Hiya Graham,

I'll be up for this. Seems an age since you delivered my bus to me. All my mechanicals are done although I have some Slamwerks plates to go on the back, oh and my throttle linkage (front) to sort out :( I'm starting on my interior and snapped up a CE seatbed and cushions for a very decent price so I'm now aiming at your open day for my first aircooled event shall we say. I want to complete by March so I'll have a month of shakedown before to journey up to Birmingham. So yeah, count me in.

Assuming nothing comes up in the meantime (weddings etc) I'm up for it. :msn4:

We'll be there, Aaron wants to show off his longboard!! :D

Free nosh and a chance to have a proper look at the stuff MEB sell. Get a go on a radio controlled bus. Free nosh.

Was that free nosh I heard? We'll be there!! ;)

Anyone else, it will soon be here

sounds like something I'd like to do aswell - better than meeting you in a services carpark  on the way to cornwall

need to get the engine together and running but hopefully thats doable

Hopefully going to make it this year. It will only be my third attempt

It's a definite maybe, as long as you let a '72 westy park up on your premises even if they have the wrong lights in the wrong places. Then you can seen what's become of the one you gladly let get away

Just need to see if we can get everything finished by then :)

My circumstances have now changed big time so I'll probably definitely be there.

G are you lot camping at Stanford Hall again?

Me and Antony along with a mate and his daughter are looking at pitching up again....

and yeah it'll be the bastard child (crewie) so I'll park her behind a tree and out of sight....

My mates on the look out for a bus as soon as he manages to get shot of the house  problem is he still has fond memories of his splitty though hes coming round to the practicalities of the earlybay not to mention the beauty....

We might make it to your place, not too confident on that one yet though.....

Graham..... not been to Stanford Hall show before.... Do I need to pre book camping on the Saturday night??... Are dogs welcome :D

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy

Yes you need to pre book, closing date for camping applications is 18th April, forms are down-loadable on the stanford hall site here (the main site is having problems) http://www.lwvwoc.co.uk/StanfordHall/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We took our dogs to the show last year, so presume it's OK for camping :)
