Miles from a full tank?

As my fuel gauge has never worked I have to write down my reading and always have to fill up. Then I know I have a safe 300kms or at 330 kms from reading I now I will be breaking down soon. 1600 engine on twin carbs, with roof rack.

Just got 28mpg on my last tank. Mostly on the motorway taking it easy about 60 with full camping gear. I'm running stock twin port except for an alternator conversion. Got Hankook RA08 185 R14 tyres. I've not checked the accuracy of the distance as I went by the odometer. Quite pleased with that!

I'm getting 23 on lpg after allowing for the 10% Speedo error. After paying 67p a litre the other day that's the equivalent of about 46 on petrol. Happy days better than our fiat 500 twin air
