Mirror question

Looking for a fresh mirror set (left + right) for my 71'er westy.
What do you advice? Repro/original? Price varies from £26 till £50. Where to buy?

loads of options but one thing I would advise is pay attention to the length of the thread that screws into your door.. some inferior ones come up short leaving you lucky to have more than a 1 thread to secure with

i replaced mine when i got the bus with some cheap one form M7, The threads are too short as mentioned above. they also when loose so when going fast!! above 40mph they would show me the road rather than whats behind me. I've now got to genuine ones i picked up from shows for £10 each.

Check on thread but normally a good supplier as they deal with old and new

Originals all the way. As has been mentioned the repro threads are too short, and the plating is abysmal on them- mine is solid brown after a year on the road.
Might be worth stripping them down and greasing them before installation, especially if you let other people drive. They tend to get a bit stiff over time.
