However, there is another on eBay - and currently at £30 - so if anyone is in the market for one - keep an eye on that one!

There is a trend at the moment in the world of classic cars where period extras and options are changing hands for loads of money cos of places like ebay where people are going over the odds to posess certain items. Recently I was watching a wooden steering wheel for my Sunbeam, it went for over £500  Other items like after market reverse lights £150, Radio console £250. This has sadly resulted in people removing such items from their cars prior to selling them and then ebaying them and even breaking restorable cars because the parts have become so expensive. I saw a split van for sale at a meet recently not cheap but it did have factory pop outs, turned out if I wanted them left on I would have to pay an extra amount :?
Lets hope it doesnt become a trend with early bays.

it was all very tongue in cheek, Wibbler, and I share your sentiments entirely, but one can see why the trend happens - I have no intention of selling my recently acquired tick tock clock which, together with a blaukpunt mono radio, also acquired, now completes the period dash in my van
:)

Didn't think you were serious :D no one in their right mind would sell an original bay clock out of their van, how would you know when its tea time

Yea, but it's for a late bay.

I think it is for an early. the stainless ring in the centre is early. The next was a darker grey then they went over to the dark side with black.
I might be wrong but that's what I think is the order of them. I've got one with the stainless in my bus.
Nice to know my bus is worht another $500 or so!

CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
