had our first long 181mile round trip yesterday and figured i'd workout the mpg.............
westy poptop full interior me and me little boy........til we got halfway and said no to the return trip so i was on me own...
anyhow got just over 25 mpg,is that good bad or just ugly??
oh before you ask he came back with the missus in the car(van was in stuart and drew's with possible stop over hence she followed in daily).
van was sorted in couple of hours so we came back sameday (testiment to stuart and drew's high class work....sweet!!!!!).

so what you reckon?? 16tp twin ict's 25mpg....cool?

Thats about average, but would expect more from properly set up twin 34ict's early 30's maybe with a tailwind
I get much the same as Olive-Bay but reckon my carb could be leaned out a bit more as I still have it set up for a 009 Dizzy.

Not had chance to work out mpg yet as I've not even done a mile :?
but my last van a '97 velle with 2.5i 5cylinder engine did max 30 mpg, but more like 22-25mpg average so used to pouring petrol down vehicle's throats.

My standard TP 1.6 is doing about 25 at the moment it's a tin top with not much in the way of interior.
My previous late bay was a Devon with a pop top and used to do around 28
I think I need to redo the heads but it runs well at the moment so it can wait a while.

well just towed race beep to shakey and back, thats van full of kit aswell,62 miles on 1/4 tank (smaller?68 tank)however much that is?getting held up by the grey brigade !!!!as i do 50+ with the rig on so thats a lot of full throttle work to acellerate and also some bigggg hills :msn4:
