Stuck in Irvine in west Scotland in a Hotel, checking over the camper scene.
Got me headphones plugged into my laptop listening to some old school -
808State, 1996, Don Salaris LP - memories.

Just thought I'd share :p

Not sure what next to listen too - 'A Certain Ratio' any one (Hacienda any one!!!! )

This week I have been mostly listening to...........The Mars Volta 8)

all about the big hair!

I would highly recommend Shaun Riders's Pure Groove compilation album. Starts off with Voodoo Ray, has a grand assortment of disco classics and some great hip-hop .... including Ice Cube's Today was a good day.

Bizarre! I was toying with the idea of having the Mars Volta as my myspace video last week, but eventually ended up going with live! instead.

Not really...
Ocean Colour Scene
James Morrison
Jamiroqai
Leonard Cohen
Paul Weller
Pulp
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Richard Hawley

I could go on - but it would end up looking like the database at HMV!
Anything good really!

;)

My roots are purely metal...

Iron Maiden
Metallica
Megadeth
Pantera
Black Sabbath
Led Zepplin

But as I got older I kinda mellowed and now I like anything...

Tom Petty & The Heartbeakers
Jimi Hendrix
Bob Dylan
Bruce Springsteen
Grateful Dead
Dave Brubeck

I listen to anything, as long as it is not *****.

Cool selections coming out here!

I'm was born in the 60's so I love anything from then
till now, plus blues, jazz and classical

If you went through my selections on my iPod, you'd know
what I mean

Life on Mars style for me - Roxy Music circa 1973.

I was quite excited by last night's episode where the hero and the wpc look set to see a Roxy gig - I went to see them in Swansea on that very tour in Nov '73!
