My 70 bus

After having my bus 4 1/2 years an being on this forum for about the same time I thought I'd better post some pics of the old thing.

I will confess, I did rob 3 of the pics from Grazys Facebook :lol:

The next few things on the agenda are a 4 inch narrowed king & link pin beam with dropped spindles and a really hot 2110 motor :-D

After 3 trains I drove it home on L plates from Karmann Konnection who imported it for me

But after a couple of years and many miles the bus had developed several problems :-( so a slow, frustrating and expensive mechanical restoration began.

As mentioned before I'm having a 2110 built by Outlaw Flat Four racer Hector Howe. Specs are gonna be as follows:

AS41 case, full flowed & shuffle pinned
CB 82mm Chevy journal stroker crank
CB H-beam connecting rods
90.5 stroker pistons & barrels
Engle FK-8 camshaft
Straight cut cam gears
Engle lifters
1.4:1 rockers
Ported & polished heads, 40x35 valves
Italian Weber 40 IDF's
1 5/8 merged header & mondo muffler
009 dizzy
Deep sump
External oil cooler with fan
