Had a great weekend at Volksworld all in all but it didn't start too well...
Got all the way to Esher and was stationary at the lights when all of a bastard sudden BANG!!!
A stupid artic lorry driver decided he would fit through the smallest of gaps obviously in a hurry. He hit the mirror first and as I accelerated left to get away he his us hard in the right hand side rear corner stuffing a lovely big dent in just below the swage line.
We pulled over and inspected the damage as he carried on driving away from us oblivious to what had just happend. My heart sank when I saw the damage but then a guy by the name of John wound down his window and shouted I should 'chase' him. As I never do anything like this normally and always strive to avoid conflict I thought.....Go for it and went after him....yeah a full on arctic lorry!!!!!!
We caught up after about 2 miles and much to our amazment John in his BMW Z3 was chasing him too trying to stop him for us. I will add we had never met this guy before, cool eh!
The high speed chase continued over the next couple of miles as he wasn't stopping for anyone so through the streets we both chased beeping our horn and flashing our lights. I was even hit with a wicked sense of adrenilin and commented to my partner something along the lines of 'THIS IS ****** AWESOME'!!
Anyway, between us we finally managed to pincer block him to a standstill and try to tell him what he'd done. As you'd expect he wasn't having any of it (he thought we were trying to hijack him!!) but after much shouting and general mayhem as we blocked the entire road that's us, the BMW and the full on Arctic in a kinda horseshoe shape we all agreed to pull over into a train station and it was there we sorted it all out.
So that's me Volksworld story, over to the insurance companies now.
Glad no one was hurt but it was a real shame as our bus is totally unrestored / unwelded etc.
Oh well!![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
