New door cards: recommendations please!

So, with winter coming I'm finally going to do something about my interior, starting with new door cards that I will have trimmed. Who is best?

Can I resurrect this question, rather than start a new topic?

Has anyone used the JK door cards, and if so are they okay?
I am looking for a pair for my crew cab, and notice that the JK ones are £90, whereas the Newton Commercial ones are £167 !

Even with the addition of clips & bungs (about £25ish from JK or Heritage), that's still quite a difference.

Spoke to NC earlier and they have a 3-4 week lead time at the mo anyway, so would prefer JK from that point of view. The NC door cards come complete with clips, and interestingly they state that bungs are not necessary as the clips are plastic based rather than metal, so no need to worry about rusting.

Another concern is whether the 'beige' will be an exact match for the rest of the seating upholstery in the cab, which is standard VW beige.

Any info appreciated.

We have the JK ones in ours and they are a perfect fit and look great. Very impressed. You do have to cut the holes in the vinyl yourself which is a little daunting when the blade easily snags on the wadding, but would recommend from our point of view. One thing we will be doing at some point is to paint the hardboard with some pva to make it a bit more water resistant. I think these would easily be destroyed with a bit of moisture.

For your info, Newton Commercial do pvc backing sheets to place onto the door card to help the water resistance, so that may be an alternative as you will have to take the door card off anyway to pva it. It gives you another option.

Thanks for that - yes I already made my own pvc barriers, but will be removing in the future to stick some additional flaps to them to aide water in draining back into the door rather than getting trapped between it and the door itself. Also need to properly seal them with some bitumen bead tape. Figured that I might as well coat the door cards and go the whole hog whilst I'm at it!
