Hi all,
Just looking at the options to repair the headlamp bowls (surprise surprise) and a few other bits of rust on my '71 dormy. Had some great advice from a local mech here (in Jersey) and we're looking at replacement panels.
He's suggested repros so I'd be looking at about 80 quid for a front panel for example but then have to weld up the indicators and flatten the VW rondel bit which would be raised up.
I'd like to look into rust free replacements as an alternative, more expensive, yes, but better metal and probly a better fit.
Anyone had any experience with the UK importers or recommend a source of these parts?
I'm not looking at an entire front clip but a fair old section of it, need a rear roof corner and ultimately another tailgate too.
Any thoughts?
