Ozziedog,,,,,,,anywhere near Brizzal?
Hey there dude and cheersfallingoffalot said:Welcome Velgreeno, I have an old 3 rib box and all gears are OK except reverse which will not even stay in gear and 4th, which sometimes pops out. Fortunately still driveable.
I've had a few aircooled mechanics look at it and fiddle with the alignment of the shifter, but the consensus is that it's shagged and needs refurbing. I am looking into getting this done in my local area - Glos. There's a guy who comes highly recommended in Stoke-on-Trent called John Walklett (classic VW transmissions) - who can be contacted via Facebook messenger.

Better to cut out the middleman and their extra charge on top and deal with John direct.
I can let you have his contact details if you wish.
Oh right. Sounds goodozziedog said:He’s a little bit legendary when it comes to cog boxes.
