I'm going to miss my "historic vehicle - charge Nil" bragging rights.

I hate the things, so will be glad to see them go :D

I will be glad of the ability to pay the daily car on a monthly direct debit, about time!

I'm clearly missing something... What?

Ignore me: http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/end-of-the-road-car-tax-discs-scrapped-after-90-years.1386240656" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Chancellor has decided that there will be no visible sign of paying your Road Fund Licence (not road tax) George, it will all be done on-line in future.

That means I can run my August 1969 disc now. :)

That thought crossed my mind too. Where does one get such an item? :?:

Should be straight forward in Photoshop... :D

Once source of replica tax discs: http://www.britishtaxdiscs.co.uk/order-tax-disc.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Miles cheaper 8)

Hurrah! :D

Fed up with tax disc holders that never seem to stick to the windscreens for very long in my cars. :evil: Bye bye Sellotape. :lol:

Good riddance.

Would be even better if they got rid of the road fund licence altogether like they did in France and some other countries. Put it on the fuel instead, so the road fund tax paid relates to the amount of use. It seemed unfair to me that I paid the same road tax (when I did a lot of miles) as the little old lady who only nipped down the shops once a week.

I'm going to miss my business.

Where's the joy in loosing a paper disc? You can pay it online already. About 2/3rds of tax disc evasion is reported by the general public, so where is the Chancellor going to save 7 million? More police spot checks and cameras and a new multi million pound computer system which will be another failure.

It should have been a vehicle tax/ MOT/ insurance tax disc all issued by the government. That will cut down fraud.

I'll be keeping my last tax disc on the windscreen. :)

Might have to find myself some decent tax disc holders then, as I have always fancied those repro discs. 8)
Handy that some of my family are asking me what I want for Christmas...... :lol:
