Just wondered if anyone else has no engine numbers stamped on their cases? I’m assuming they’re OE replacement or more likely aftermarket?
do you do anything about it or just not bother. There is nothing recorded on the V5

My replacement engine case. Has no number still got the old knackered one, it was not engraved on it, was just a nail and glue

I am not sure what the DVLA policy would be regarding the use of the engine number from your original "knackered" crankcase on your new replacement crankcase. From a pragmatic perspective, this would probably be okay provided your existing crankcase is rendered unusable and scrapped.
