I have just bought a Lupo for Mrs Nice, so her daily Smart is up for sale. I am looking for a quick sale so have under priced it at £3800 no offers!
It is a 2001 Smart For Two passion Cabriolet. It wasn't registered until 2003 & I got it with only 13k on the clock. It has 40k now & has never let us down. It is 100% reliable. It has had a private plate before & DVLA reissued it with an 'X' prefix. I have all the paperwork.
It is a 600cc EFI Turbo, MOT to July, Tax till November. It will seat to large adults no problem & will do 55mpg of standard unleaded. I did the 40k service last week end. Service intervals are 10k for oil & filter & 20k for plugs, & fuel filter. A full service was £45 in parts & took just over an hour to do at home. The engine is left to idle for a minute after every run to allow the turbo to cool properly & stop spinning. This prolongs the turbo life massively.
It has electric windows, remote locking & boot release, heated seats, front & side air bags, Kenwood CD player (I have original too), & sound upgrade, electric 3 stage roof which can be just a sun roof or a full cabrio. It can be opperated at any speed. The door tops unclip & stow away in a housing in the boot. You don't loose any luggage space. We can get a weeks shopping in the back & have carried snowboards etc. The passenger seat folds down into a handy table for drive through fast food etc.
The Passion is the top of the range model & this one I had the panels painted in Nissan pearl green. It has a subtle gold flip in it that catches the sun. It looks stunning. The paint can be matched from any paint shop for about £30 a liter. The wheels are Kahn 5 spoke alloys with 175/55x15 tyres up front & 195/50x15 out back. It handles very well. It has ABS & traction control & a K&N filter for a bit more go! It also has the front fog lights.
