Hi all looking for advice just bought 1970 crew cab with wide fives on front and 5--112s on rear has had an engine change at sometime so assume gear box and shafts were changed as well. Would it be better to go for a disc conversion or can I just swap the drums on front which is best. It is not original so not bothered about change. Cheers

I had the same on mine. Normally due to the lack of early rear drum backing plates available. US owners swap out the rear brakes for late bay items as they are cheaper and plentiful.

I opted to keep the wide 5 on the front and leave the narrow 5 rear drum set up but replaced the drum with a specific drum for this purpose. I got mine from transporterhaus after a loooooong wait but I'm sure creative also do them

My personal preference if I did it again would be the creative ones ;)
