Off to Germany on a road trip any tips

hi fellas off on a roadtrip again in a few weeks going through germany , down the rhine to black forest then through austria to the italian lakes then back home ,...... im looking for any info , places of interest down the rhine as we will be stopping around about a week there any tips places , vw spares , good camp sites,beer fests !!! places to avoid, links etc etc any help would be great ....probably taking the laptop so will be updating every day like a captains log sort of thing anyhow

come to beautiful bavaria (where i live) then you have nice eplaces , vw spares , good camp sites and beer fests as much as you want! 8)

i am sorry i do not really know those things near the rhine or the schwarzwald (black forest), BUT:

Wolfsburg vw museum. Well worth a visit.

Went there last year and also lake como beautifull.

of course Wolfsburg vw museum is worth a visit but it is more than 300km away from the nearest corner of the black forest and the rhine where chris wants to go to...

Thats a campsite I've used and quite enjoyed, was lots o things to do locally, up and down the river,

hi fellas after looking at your replys and links weve decided to head to the black forest then go to lake constance and bum around there for a week or so ,if the weather is crappy we will head for the south of france !
