Hi - does anyone know if you can replace the oil pump oil seal without taking the engine out?

Mines seeping oil from the seal down onto the front of the engine.

Tks

If you just mean the cover than yes. if you need to remove the pump then your need a puller and will probably needto remove the rear valance, moustache bar and pulley.

There's a cover gasket and a flange gasket on the oil pump
but no seal as such. I had a leak at the flange- crankcase joint once and yes you can pull the pump with the engine in situ. Fixed mine with silicone flange sealant as I had no
replacement gaket at the time. You will need to buy or make a pump puller however and loosen the crankcase joining bolts before pulling,

You don't need to loosen the crank case bolts. Its push fit. Undo the 4 nuts and pull off the cover. Then pull out the gears then finally pump housing. When u reassemble a smear on the pump faces is enough and don't put it on the internal parts, ie the sides of the pump that go into the engine.

If ur taking pump apart. Check gears are OK and clearances are good. Only takes 5 secs and always good insurance
