If you get 5 mins take your air filter off look down top of carb with mirror and torch if needed if the butterfly's are wet there's ya problem, my carbs are new and adjuster floats the lot,
But because the carbs are lower than the tank I was getting a very slight weep past the needle valve

Ok, on Saturday i will do the fuel pump as i have bought it and check the carb. It will have been stood for some time by then will the signs still be there? If they are how do i remedy that? Cheers for all the advice so far everyone.

Once they start dripping they just keep dripping every few seconds that's how the petrol gets into the oil, I fitted a petrol shut off solenoid 162088361162 on eBay shuts off petrol when no power is supplied opens with power but can be by passed manually if required

Ok checked my carb no sign of dripping or wet butterfly's although I'm liking the solenoid idea anyway. Purchased and waiting for it to arrive. Was going to fit it with an inline fuze. Anyway DONT laugh but needed a fuel pump fast so bought a VeeWee one £9.00 going to fit tomorrow.

Question. On the pump 1 pipe is vertical pointing straight up and one is horizontal. I take it vertical will be the outflow to the carb? Thank you

Changed fuel pump today so wait out on results. One thing did go wrong, I changed the sump for one with a plug and once I'd oil changed I took it for a run and wondered why I had oil under engine on return. Forgot to tighten the new sump plug. :msn4: no harm done though
