Just used this to find a part number for a 1971 bus - you'll need to register to get access to part numbers - or use http://www.bugmenot.com listed as:

User: audi12345
Pass: 12345

http://www.vagcat.com/epc/

Some bits were listed as unavailable but the part I needed was listed and my local VW garage can get it next day - when I called them part numbers matched and it seems that if it's listed as a part they are able to supply from most dealers?
