Does anyone have any idea what the orange light next to the row of dash switches is? what it does? Whats its connected to?

Its an old picture but you can just about see it next to the hazard switch, it comes on when i turn the key and then stays on, although i've only run the engine for a couple of minutes, not sure if that helps

Dormobiles have an orange light which flashes if the ignition is turned on with the roof up, though this is usually on the RHS of the steering column to the left of the headlight switch. It has a red / brown bakelite flasher unit mounted up behind the RHS air vent.

The van is a ex-panel van thats been converted, the wiring is in a bit of a state and im trying to tidy things up, if i knew what this and what it does i could decide if it was staying or not.
Not even sure if this is an original design feature or a bolt on jobby

Quick update, the light was just an added extra, dont know what is does, theres a wire from the fuse box (green with a blue stripe) and then an earth.
Couldn't figure it out so i just removed it :)
