In 2008 we spent a load of money on some scrap wood, well a Devon interior that needed restoring.
So first a new marine ply floor was fitted.
Jayne had bought some new floor tiles from Vanfest so they were layed. Also new rear seat belts, again I think these were a purchase from VanFest and some cables installed.
Some of the restored Devon interior put in place.
Also we had new cushions made to the correct Devon spec.
We also installed some new speakers and a headunit and an amp for those all to important sounds
We originally had the van lowered by Red 9 Design when we first got it, but the ride was to unforgiving and low for us as we struggled with the speed bumps and pot holes in our village and surrounding area. So the front set up was removed and the original torsion bars put back in and a lowering kit installed into the front axle with shorter shoxs, not sure what make, but Fiat come to mind. The rear is standard spring plates turned a couple of splines? with Spax adjustables. For us on its slightly higher ride hight it rides quite well and more important we can still just get it in the garage.
We also had a new top tint laminated windscreen and seal fitted.
I think in the same year we had a rebuilt gearbox fitted along with a new modified clutch kit that takes the later Bay clutch thrust bearing, so no more early bay clutch thrust bearing clip failures as we'd fallen foul of that one twice.
