Im sure , will just get a mixed opinion here but here goes ..

Looking ahead to when my bus needs painting, im gonna have a go myself ..

My question is what paint should i use ..

I had got it straight in my head to use celly .. as its period paint, and was told its easier if you make a mistake ..

Making enquires at the local paint shop he frowned when I mentioned it and asked why I wanted to go to all that trouble when it would be far easier and cheaper to use an acrylic paint ..

Question1 : Which is best for a beginner..

Question2 : Is the acrylic he talks about just 2K and if so are there different types

Question3 : is the cost much different ..

Im aware of the 2k probs regarding fumes etc .. but the paint guy really put me off celly by talking about all the coats and rubbing down between and letting it dry for weeks etc ..

So come on you knowledgable folks and set me in the right direction!

Cheers (as always!)

I would read this is a good start and gives an over view of how to paint wet on wet primer sealing coats etc.

As for what paint to use that depends on how authentic you want to be, the only down side Ive heard about acrilics is the finish you get is quite different to enamel.

I use celly and I like the finish ease of use, yes it take a long time to harden fully to the point where you can paste polish but is that a big deal?
