hi mate, have you thought of powdercoating? it may be worth looking locally for a specialist for a chat. you wont find a tougher, more durable finish than powdercoating and its not that expensive. just a thought.cheers, stu.

Cheers for the advice Stu, I had heard that the wheels might get a bit too hot for powdercoating - I'd love to hear that that's not true though as powdercoating gives a lovely finish... can anyone confirm?...

;)

yeah, my local powder coater wouldnt be drawn on the question of heat! if not your local independent bodyshop may be the route to go, if you dont fancy havin a go yourself.

They shouldnt be getting too hot for powdercoat after all they are baked in an oven and and theres different types of coating for specific tasks so they'll be able to pick a high temp powder...

I'm trying my steels see how they come up, with white walls and beauty rings I hope they look ok.

They'll look well tasty on yor cookies :D

I've never liked whitewalls I'm afraid - not my cup of tea at all!

Might get in touch with a local powdercoater and see what they say about the heat...
